Your hosts Diane and David Cole are pleased to welcome you to this famous pub situated at Blidworth Bottoms, Nottinghamshire, England.

We are a contemporary version of a traditional English country pub with home-cooked British food, real ales and excellent wine there's always a warm welcome inside and sunny days draw visitors to our huge beer garden and terrace areas. Our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared  with Sunday Lunch and Fish & Chips being particularly popular alongside our now near  legendary Beef & Stilton Pie.

You'll find us in the heart of historic Nottinghamshire close to lots of attractions and heritage walks.  With ample parking and lots of room we cater for parties and groups and The Orangery and Terrace  are available for private hire

The History of the Pub

We pulled our first pint in October 2001 but The Fox & Hounds is a lot older than that. The building was originally a farmhouse at a time when Blidworth Bottoms was a much larger community.

It became a public house some time in the early 1800's although the exact date remains a mystery.  It is said the Fox and Hounds Beer House was originally close nearby in a nail maker's shop before moving to the current larger premises. The beer must have been good because the shop isn't there anymore!
