Our Story

The Fox & Hounds is a family-owned traditional British pub in the heart of Robin Hood county, surrounded by the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. You’ll always find a warm welcome here, and we’re proud to be known for our handmade pies and hearty, home-cooked British food — all prepared with care and love.


We offer a great selection of cask ales, premium lagers, and a wide range of no- and low-alcohol options.


Freshly ground coffee and free Wi-Fi are always available, and we’re family-friendly, dog-friendly, and even happy to welcome muddy boots (as long as the bottoms are clean).

Home-cooked food using local produce
We serve a menu of home-cooked food that’s packed with favourites 
including pies, steaks and the very popular fish & chips. 

Our menu is full of produce from surrounding farms and our Sunday Lunch is cooked in the traditional way using local ingredients.For the more adventurous diner, Chef's Daily Specials showcase creative cuisine using seasonal flavours and during the summer months we warm up with a delicious tapas menu to share over one of our excellent wines.
